Appearances
As an Adult Robert 'Buzz' Henry doubled for Frank Sinatra (Von Ryan's Express (1965)), Glenn Ford (3:10 to Yuma 1957) and James Coburn (Our Man Flint (1966)), among others. Famous as a stunt double with credits in such western films as El Dorado (1966), The Wild Bunch (1969) and Shenandoah (1965).
As a child he was cast in many westerns because of his excellent riding ability. (see Buzz take a flying leap on a horse in Law of the Canyon 1947). In early westerns (1935 - 1941) his character was always named "Buzzy".
Buzz was stunt Coordinator & Second Unit Director for The Cowboys (1972) starring John Wayne. Tragically and ironically, he was killed in a 1972 car accident on Forest Lawn Drive (right in front of the cemetery of the same name), barely a few blocks from the Warner Brothers lot where the The Cowboys was completed.
