Hello folks. Brandon was nice enough to let me put up this page about myself and my services, because I made the new web site. When I say "made" I mean the following:

• Designed and created a new MySQL database to hold all the data needed to run this web site (the old site had no database and was just a set of static pages maintained painstakingly by hand).
• Wrote a custom importer to scan the old site's HTML source and insert all the reviews and technical information (languages, categories, cast and crew, pictures, etc.) into that database.
• Architected the servlets and JSP pages needed to run the site.
• Designed the site navigation and search, and wrote all the JavaBeans, Java library, servlets, and JSP pages to support them.
• Designed and coded the new browse and search metaphors, custom features such as lists and reviews and ratings, and the rental system.
• Wrote the whole eCommerce system from the ground up.
• You can't get to it from here of course, but there's also a complete back-end intranet system that Brandon and his team can use to manage this large and growing database of great videos. There are many cool features in that system as well.

Basically, what I'm saying is that I did everything you see, except that the content itself (the movie reviews, pictures, and such "elemental" data) was all written by Brandon, of course, and is maintained by him.
