Appearances
A gifted child performer with large brown eyes, Seth Adkins made a memorable film debut as a crying child rescued by Leonardo DiCaprio in the Oscar-winning blockbuster "Titanic" (1997).
At the tender age of three, he began a career appearing in local commercials and theatrical productions in his native Albuquerque, New Mexico. Relocating with his family to L.A., Adkins soon found guest spots on various TV shows ranging from "ER" to "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch".
He first registered with small screen audiences playing the epileptic son of a concerned mother (Meryl Streep) who adopts a controversial dietary treatment for the disease in Jim Abrahams' based-on-fact drama "...first do no harm" (1997). He went on to play a five-year-old Anthony Cortino in the zany spoof "Mafia!" (1998). In 1999, Seth landed the role of Pinocchio to Drew Carey's "Geppetto" (2000).
He is quoted: "Making 'Taming Andrew' (2000) was hard because I had to be so sad. When I had to do the crying scenes, after a while I just ran out of tears. I had to think of sad things, like when I'm gone working and my dad's in Albuquerque and I miss him and stuff."
Seth was originally cast as 'Little Joe Cartwright' on the TV series "Ponderosa." But when they decided to film the series in Australia, he had to back out for personal reasons. The part went to Australian actor Jared Daperis instead.
Winner of 5 "Young Artist Awards" -- Best Performance in a TV Comedy "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" (1996), Best Performance in a TV Movie Young Actor Age Ten or Under "...First Do No Harm" (1997), Best Performance in a TV Drama Series "The Pretender" (1996) & Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast "Bad News Bears" (2005)
