David Mendenhall (born in Oceanside, California) stumbled into the business, along with his sister Marissa, and is perhaps best known for his roles in the films Space Raiders (1983) and at age 15 with Sylvester Stallone in Over the Top (1987).

The same year as the phenomenal and successful "Over the Top" David stepped into one of the worst films of the year Going Bananas where his co-star was Gorilla.

He performed voice acting in animated movies and TV series, like Rainbow Brite (1985 - 1986), The Berenstain Bears (1985 - 1986), and most notably Transformers: The Movie (1986) and the TV series (1986-1987). He did an award-winning role from 1979-1986 as young Mike Webber in General Hospital. You can also see him in the 1990 movie Streets with Christina Applegate.

Mendenhall currently has a degree in law and is a contract litigator for actors in the business. He is still listed with his lifelong agent and can be seen in recent films & TV like God Bless America (2011) and A Gifted Man (2011).
