Nico Louis Liersch (born 17 July 2000) is a German TV and film teen actor known by US audiences for his role as Rudy Steiner in The Book Thief (2013). Based on the best-selling novel he played the best friend of the titular book thief, Liesel Meminger. Markus Zusak, who wrote the novel that inspired the movie, was pleased with Liersch's portrayal of his character and wrote: ¨He's magnificent. He is Rudy.¨

Nico has worked in the German television series Das ist Gut (2011) where he played Phillip Greenyard, a caveboy without parents. In 2012, Nico Liersch appeared in episodes of the German TV series Inga Lindström (2012) and Das Traumhotel (2012).

In 2013 he played the young love interest to Emma Schweiger in Kokowaah 2
