Adam Wylie, born 23 May 1984 in San Dimas, California (30 miles east of Los Angeles), is an actor and is skilled in the art of magic tricks, particularly card tricks, and has performer in musical theater.
Adam won The Young Artist Awards for Picket Fences (1992-1996), and Dennis the Menace (1993), and the Hollywood Reporter YoungStar Awards for Picket Fences twice. He has been nominated for Young Artist Awards for Under Wraps (1997), and All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 (1997), and YoungStar Awards for Balloon Farm (1999), and Michael Landon's The Father I Knew. (1999).
Adam began acting at the age of 6 in Kindergarten Cop (1990) along side Arnold Schwarzenegger. Other film roles include Santa with Muscles (1996), Breaking Free (1995), Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998).
In 2002, Wylie appeared as Jack in Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning revival of Into the Woods on Broadway. His role in Into the Woods was meta-referenced on Gilmore Girls (2001-2003) as being done by his character in that series, Brad Langford. He has also appeared frequently in regional theatre, including in Camelot as Merlyn-Tom-Morgan, Big River as Huck Finn, 110 in the Shade as Jimmy Curry, On the Town as Chip, Footloose as Willard, Precious Sons as Freddie Jr., House Arrest as Todd, and Beauty and the Beast, as Chip. He also recently played Leo Bloom in a regional production of Mel Brooks' The Producers (musical) at Gateway Playhouse.
February 21, 2007 marked Wylie's debut in the musical Wicked at the Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles. He starred opposite such stars as Eden Espinosa, Jenna Leigh Green, Megan Hilty, and Carol Kane. He played his final performance on December 30, 2007 along with Espinosa and Kane, and was replaced by his understudy, Michael Drolet.
He has also been seen performing magic at Disneyland and on the syndicated magic show Masters of Illusion. (2009)
