Justin Alexander Korovkin (b.2007) is Italian/Canadian and has a natural talent for languages. Being fully bilingual he has played either leading or supporting roles in both English-language and Italian-language dramatic feature films.
Justin was discovered in 2017 by casting agent Beatrice Kruger and film director Carlo S.Hintermann who launched him in the role of "Günter" in The Book of Vision. In 2019 he was chosen for the male lead as "Samuel" in Roberto De Feo's The Nest (Il Nido). He played both Leitmotif piano pieces in the film, recorded live on set. The same year he was chosen to play "Geremia Guerrini" in Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo's ensemble film Favolacce (Bad Tales).
When Justin was ten, he learned ancient Egyptian writing on his own and is now learning Japanese. He appreciates Italian and Japanese cuisine. He appreciates the works of Charles Dickens, R.Kipling and Johnathan Swift and Jerome. Jerome and Neil Alan Druckmann. Among the actors that he admires are Adam Driver, Matt Damon, Christian Bale, Lino Ventura, and Marlon Brando. He practices ethical equitation, preferring to ride horses that are unshod, and without a bit.
In A Classic Horror Story (2021), Justin played a young teenager Samuel in a meta-scene where he was watching the film itself. While the film actually featured a minor actor participating in a terrifying and violent plot, since the film was rated 14+ it could not show a minor watching it. Thus, right before the film was released, the scene was edited out of the final cut.
In March 2023, at the age of 15, together with "The Nest" Director Roberto De Feo and the female protagonist Francesca Cavallin, he participated in a three-guest seminar panel of the course for film producers at the Italian Experimental Cinematography Center (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia).
Justin lives in Italy with his father, anthropologist, novelist/poet Michael Korovkin and mother, visual artist, and contemporary art historian Stephanie Morin. He is represented by Planet Film in Rome.
